INTERNET OF THINGS

Developed and deployed home automation solutions using Raspberry Pi, Relay boards and openHAB.

IoT is transforming the everyday physical objects that surround us into an ecosystem of information that will enrich our lives. From refrigerators to parking spaces to houses, the IoT is bringing more and more things into the digital fold every day, which will likely make the IoT a multi-trillion dollar industry in the near future.

RASPBERRY PI BASED HOME AUTOMATION AND SURVEILLANCE.

Developed and deployed automated Wifi & wired switches for important lights and appliances in a home. The whole system is configured and operates upon Raspberry pi, Relay boards as hardware and Raspbian, OpenHab as softwares. openHAB is a software for integrating different home automation systems and technologies into one single solution that allows over-arching automation rules and that offers uniform user interfaces, in our case we are connecting managed relay connected to RPi’s GPIO pins. A wifi/IP camera is also connected to this system. Switches and camera video/photo can be accessed thru RPi from anywhere in the world. Wifi modem, Raspberry and camera are operated all thru the day using solar power.

REMOTE, SOLAR POWERED AUTOMATIC WEATHER STATION WS2080 WITH RPI AND WEEWX.

Deployed a 100% solar powered Automatic weather station with data logging and web based reporting. AWS/PWS used here is WS2080 model from Ambient weather or FineOffset, HongKong. Raspberry pi with Raspbian OS is connected thru USB to the base station of WS2080. RPi is running a open source software WeeWx for data logging and web based reporting. It also takes care of transferring the web files thru FTP to our remote web servers. Rpi is powered by a solar panel and battery backup.

ARDUINO NODEMCU ESP 12E BASED AUTOMATIC ROOFTOP GARDEN DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM.

Automatic drip irrigation management using soil moisture probe connected to a Arduino based NodeMCU ESP 12e development board. Arduino code monitors the reading from soil moisture sensor and opens a solenoid water valve (or) runs a mini DC powered submersible pump. All thru the day, the soil moisture is logged and uploaded to ThingSpeak.com and FreeBoard.io for data logging, analytics and visualization over the web. It also notifies about the irrigation start and end time. Again as we emphasize on green source of energy, the whole setup runs on Solar power with battery backup for night.
